All Wales Scout Camp 10-12 June 2022

Date: 9th Sep 2022 Author: Scout Websites

With 20 Scouts, 7 Leaders and 1 Carer a large contingent headed up to Builth Wells for what was effectively the first Group camp since the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

The camp didn’t disappoint, there was a vast array of activities to keep the young people occupied, everything ranging from driving a car(!) to pust cart racing, raft building, mountain biking, simulated cave explore as well as a huge array of arts and crafts.

The weekend was completed with a disco (plenty of Leader participation) and Awards ceremony.
We also had the opportunity to present our Scout Leader Ben with a Good Service Award in recognition of his dedication to the Troop.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
