Scouts Clyne Valley Night Hike

Date: 20th Jan 2024 Author: Ben Ball

Scouts enjoyed a chilly night hike in freezing conditions through Clyne valley and across Clyne Common. We had a chance to look at some examples of the rich industrial heritage within the valley and the clear skies afforded wonderful views of the night sky constellations as well as Swansea Bay itself. All enjoyed a welcome cup of hot chocolate at the finish point!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
